Federico Conforti
Federico Conforti is an award-winning editor based in Los Angeles, working across feature films, documentaries, scripted series and commercials.
Born and raised in Tuscany, he first fell in love with storytelling as a stage performer, which eventually led him to film school and into the editing room. He began his career in Rome, working his way from assistant editor to editor before relocating to Los Angeles.
Since then, he's had the privilege of working on acclaimed projects across the world, from independent films and documentaries to major studio and streaming productions, as well as commercials for the world's leading brands.
What draws him to a project, regardless of format or scale, is its emotional journey. He learned early on that a story only works if you feel something true in it. He loves being a true creative partner to a director, tapping into their vision and finding the rhythm, pace, and emotion that bring it fully to life.
Among his feature work is the Italian cult phenomenon LO CHIAMAVANO JEEG ROBOT (THEY CALL ME JEEG), for which he received the David di Donatello for Best Editing, Italy's equivalent of the Academy Awards.
His documentary work includes ALMOST FAMOUS for The New York Times Op-Docs, THAT'S MY JAZZ for Breakwater Studios, BLOOD RIDER for Google, and the 2026 Oscar-nominated (for Best Song) feature documentary VIVA VERDI!
Along the way, his work has been recognized by the Emmys, Sports Emmys, Webbys and James Beard Awards.
Federico is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700, of the European Film Academy and of the David di Donatello Academy.
